RideKC Vanpool

Cost Effective

RideKC Vanpool offers an easy way to save money, while getting you to work and helping the environment in a seven-county area. RideKC Vanpool is available in Jackson, Johnson, Wyandotte, Clay, Platte, Leavenworth, and Cass counties in the Kansas City area.

To join or start a RideKC Vanpool, begin by filling out the interest form. We’ll find matches for you and let you know when a vanpool for your location is ready to start. You may even be able to join an existing van that matches your schedule and location.

Vanpool members pay an affordable, low monthly fare, based on the cost of operating the van. Vehicles include 7, 8 and 12 -passenger vans.

RideKC Vanpool accepts online payments. We also offer a simple driver approval process and other online management tools for your convenience.

RideKC Micro Transit is an affordable ride-hailing transportation option. It is available in parts of Johnson and Wyandotte counties, as well as the City of Leavenworth.

Midtown to Legends Zone

Service Hours:

Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 8 PM

Saturday & Sunday, 7 AM – 4:30 PM

Service Area: 

Leavenworth Road on the north, N 110th Street on the west, the Kansas River and Metropolitan Ave. on the south, and 42nd St. and I-635 on the east. The service area also connects passengers to the 47th Street Transit Center (Indian Springs), Merriam Town Center Transit Hub, and Turner High School.

Fare:

$3.00 per person per trip within the Zone, Urban Outfitters Employees ride FREE with PROOF of Employment – Badge Required

Wyandotte County passes accepted: Veterans Pass or Student Pass/U-Pass/Student ID from participating schools only (including UMKC, MCC, KCAI, JCCC, Donnelly, KCKCC, details available at RideKC.org)

How Micro Transit works in Wyandotte County

Microtransit service is an on-demand shared ride transit service that operates in a specific radius and includes fixed route access. It allows passengers to request and pay for rides through the IRIS Mobile App (for Android and iOS,) the IRIS Booking Website or through our UGT Dispatch Center at 913-573-8351.

Fare: $3.00 per person, per ride. Passengers are able pay within the IRIS mobile app or IRIS Booking Website, over the phone by calling the UGT dispatch center at 913-573-8351 or can pay the fare directly to the driver; exact change is required as our drivers do not provide change. Urban Outfitter employees can ride FREE with proof of their employment by presenting their work badge.

Wyandotte County: $3.00 per person, per ride in Wyandotte County. Pay online with the IRIS app or website, https://book.iris.rideco.com/login . Pay on-board: Book your trip either in the TransLoc app/website or over the phone and pay exact fare in cash upon boarding the vehicle. Drivers do not provide change.

State Line Road on the east, 47th Street on the north, I-435 on the south. Renner Road will be the western boundary from westbound I-435 to Midland Drive. north of Midland Drive the zone will be expanded along northbound I-435

$5.00 for the first 5 miles and $2.00 per additional mile with in the RideKC Micro Transit app or with exact cash in vehicle. 

Johnson County: $3 or $5 per person, per ride in Johnson County. Pay online with the Mobile app or exact cash. 

Trips will use either a Micro Transit van or a taxi.

Request a Ride:

  • Mobile App: Anyone within the service area boundaries can summon a ride using the mobile app. Simply enter in your destination address.

Pay your Fare: Pay $5.00 for the first 5 miles, $2.00 per extra mile in the RideKC Micro Transit app or with exact cash in vehicle.

Enjoy the Trip: Your trip will be as direct as possible to your entered destination.

Micro Transit riders must be at least 16 years old or accompanied by an adult.

How to use the RideKC Micro Transit app

 

RideKC Micro Transit App instruction:

  1. Go to your app store and search “RideKC Micro Transit” to download the app. Click to download: Google Play - Apple App Store
  2. Open the app and create an account.
  3. Book a trip by selecting trip purpose, any mobility aids. Confirm your pick-up location and select your drop-off location. These must be within the service's region parameters shown on the map. Change your pick-up time by scheduling now or selecting a new time and date to schedule your ride ahead of time.
  4. Select your payment option.
  5. Book your trip.
  6. After you’re done booking you’ll see it displayed in your upcoming trip list. You’ll get a window during which you’ll be picked up for your trip. Keep the app open to stay informed on your ride status.

RideLV serves the City of Leavenworth.

RideLV Leavenworth Service Area

This program is supported by the Kansas City Area Transit Authority and operated locally by the Guidance Center. Micro transit vans will provide on-demand transportation upon request to locations within the Leavenworth City limits.

  • Costs are $2 per ride, a flat rate.
  • Anyone is eligible to ride. (Children must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Rides are limited to locations in the City of Leavenworth city limits.
  • Vans will operate 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
  • Handicapped accessible vehicles are available.
